Independent exploration and advanced technical development are essential components of academic learning in Fine Metals. This opportunity for independent study is designed for advanced students to engage in self-directed work with guidance from faculty actively involved in studio practice and research.

Students will deepen their understanding of materials, processes, and conceptual development while honing their technical skills and personal artistic voice. The program fosters the development of crucial competencies in project planning, creative problem-solving, documentation, critique, and professional presentation. These skills are valuable for students pursuing graduate studies or careers in the arts, design, and related fields.
